Video not showing in the sidebar

I am trying to get my website back in order. On the right sidebar, I did like I used to do and put the embed code into a widget. when i save it, i can see the video in the widget area. however, when i go to the front end of the site, all i see is the text from the code. you can see it there now on the right side. is something new now that i missed? my site is proboxinginsider.com. thanks in advance for any help

Similar problem…a Welcome widget has disappeared on the top right sidebar …the editing pencil shows in the right position…when I click on it I see the widget code in a panel …I click on ‘show’…but nothing happens.
Maybe I can learn from any answers here. Maybe WP won’t host it anymore…how would one know? The panels are not easy to understand either. -

My blog is http://juliamatcham.wordpress.comI suspect I was allowed to import from elsewhere this snazzy little briefly-flickering Welcome sign when I first set up my 20 10 blog up about 6 years ago, and that WP, having changed a lot of stuff since then, this jolly little item was not allowed. It would be nice if it said so! It would have saved me racking my brains trying to get it to show. Cheers. Julia
