Video on homepage

  Hi there,

  I’ve succesfully embedded a Youtube video into a new blog post but it does not appear on the homepage when published. I know with images you can set them as featured images and was just wondering if there was anyway of doing this with a video as well.

  It does not appear on the homepage because the homepage in the theme you’re using displays excerpts instead of full posts. Auto excerpts display the beginning of the text only. There’s no way to display a video in your excerpt (not even if you create a custom excerpt).
