Video presentation

I have just added VideoPress to my blog (simonhryder.wordpress.com). First, no thumbnail of the video appears on the home page, but then, when you click on this and come to the post page itself, then click on the video, the bars top and bottom (showing progress) stay there throughout the video. You have to click on the video once (to pause it) and then again (to restart), at which point the bars finally drop away. Can you help with this please. Thanks. Simon Ryder (PS. I have tested in two different browsers, Safari and Firefox, and cleared cache and cookies in both.)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I’ve asked the VideoPress team to look into the issue with the black bars, thanks for reporting it! I’ll let you know when I get a response.

As for the thumbnail on the home page, your theme,The Colunist, does not include thumbnails for videos on the home page. I’ll make the suggestion to our theme developers.

One more note: You can include a thumbnail on the homepage for your video post by including a Featured Image for that post. You can read more about Featured Images here:
