Video problems

  Hi,
  I’ve upgraded to include video on my blog at petiteshards.com
  The problem is, the video embed option won’t turn off. I’ve unchecked it four or five times and updated the file each time but nothing works.

  Any suggestions?

  Try the cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart computer. I think you’re looking at an old version; I don’t see the embed option.

  There may be some problem with the server. I upload a video in the afternoon. After uploading I got the normal message:

  “This video is being processed
  It will be ready in about a couple of minutes.
  Normal users won’t see this notice”

  Now, 5 hours later, I am still getting this message. Aaargh! The video is not yet up.
  Sorry, you will not see the video, as it is still in a “private post!”

  I will send a support query as well.

  Thanks, raincoaster. I’ll try that. And arunshanbhag, I had the same problem trying to upload the video.

  I tried to add it to my library several times on two different days with no luck. Then, I was surprised to see it in my library today. Is there some trick to uploading or times that are better?

  My file wasn’t even large.

  Hi, again.
  Clearing the browser cache worked so I’m good to go there. Now I have another question: I’m using the Spring Loaded theme and the time stamp doesn’t show up on my posts. I only have one so far, but I even did a test post and got nothing.

  Is there no time element on posts in this theme?

  Apparently not. You can add it in as a line in the body of the post, or you can switch themes, but otherwise you’re out of luck.

  I have the same problem. It says, “This video is being processed. It will be ready in about a couple of minutes. Normal users won’t see this notice.”

  I have two black boxes that say this. I think I inserted it twice. At first it said 10 minutes. That was about half an hour ago. The video is only 6 minutes.

  This is the first video I’ve uploaded so I’m not sure if there’s a problem with the server or what. Let me know what happens with yours. Thanks.

  Video uploads can take hours, depending on your connection. Just let it run. Let it run overnight if you have to.

  Since I can’t see your dashboard or the post in question, I can’t speculate, sorry.
