Video Restrictions

  Hi all,

  Thank you for reading.

  I am looking for help with an add on that will allow me to restrict my videos that have been purchased. I will be selling videos that I, ideally, want to be able to downloaded then only be allowed to play once. I understand that this will likely be easy to override with some additional software but I think my end customers would, generally, not be completely au fait with the whole process so this would be a minimal risk to our business.

  Is anyone aware of any way that we can perform this with an add on in WordPress? Has anyone else had any experience with this?

  Hi there,

  According to your requirement, that definitely needs a plugin. There’s some membership plugin like the WooCommerce Memberships that allows member-only content, including the control on videos that can be downloaded by a paid member. However, I don’t think WordPress plugins can control whether the downloaded video can only be played once unless it’s only viewable online.

  By the way, just to let you know that this is a support forum for sites hosted on WordPress.com. In case you’re not aware, WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress are two different entities.
