video uploads sideways
-
I purchased space to upload video – I uploaded it a video – it;s in lanscape – the video is portrait! How can I re orientate the video so you don;t have to lean to one side to view it!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you take the video on an iPhone? There’s an issue with iPhone photos, the solution for which is to rotate it before uploading.
-
I have the same issue with my IPhone video, and tried rotating it before uploading a second time… it still turned it sideways :-/
-
Once the video is rotated, try opening it in QuickTime and select “Save for Web” from the File menu.
Then, upload that version of the video.
-
I just had this issue too. My video loaded upside down! I have used iPhone videos in my blog posts before, and this never happened so it must be a new bug. I hope someone is working on it.

I answered you in the other thread you posted. See here . https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/video-uploading-upside-down?replies=4#post-549732Also note that we are Volunteers answering questions here and we do not have a clue what Staff are “working on”. This is the link to the ios.forums I provided wupu with in your other thread http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/

I imported the video into iMovie, exported it back to my desktop as-is (without rotating) and then uploaded it from there. The format change seems to have fixed it.
Thanks for the clarification, timethief. I was just venting, not at anyone in particular. :)
