video viewing in internet explorer

I added a video to our blog and it doesn’t work in Internet Explorer. When you look at the blog the video shows “invalid source”. The video works fine on Mozilla however and I can play it fine when looking at our media files on the wordpress website. You can see the video here:

Hi there!
Can you let me know what version of Internet Explorer you’re using? You may need to update your browser version for this to work correctly. For reference, current browser versions can be found here:
Let me know if that helps to solve the issue!

Hi Sue,
I apologize for the error. It seems a bit weird. When I test your blog post in IE11, the video is not working on my side. However, if I copy the content and post it to a test blog, the video plays fine in IE11. Can you try re-uploading the video and re-embedding it into your blog post?

Yes, I tried that multiple times to no avail but I just tried again and still it doesn’t work. I even deleted it and uploaded it again. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I uploaded the video and then I am clicking on it and then clicking on insert into post. It puts a short code in the blog and then I click on publish. As I said, if I look at the blog in Mozilla it works fine.

Hi there,
Can you try reformatting the video into a different formatting and then uploading? I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here that is causing the “Invalid Source” on your site. When I copy the content including the video shortcode, it plays correctly on a test site with the same theme and setup.
I’m continuing to investigate. However, I’d love to know if another file format demonstrates the same issue.
