Video widget problem
-
I’m having a problem with the video plug-in widget in customizer. Every time I try to enter a Youtube URL, it doesn’t recognize it as Youtube. The URL manages to embed perfectly fine every time I make a new post, but it’s just the widget option that doesn’t recognizes it. I’ve tried a different browser to see if it was only my main one causing the problem, but it’s the same thing with different other ones.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I was also unable to add a Youtube video to the Video widget, using the “Insert from URL” option, while on the latest Firefox browser. Each attempt produced the following error message:
Sorry, we can’t load the video at the supplied URL. Please check that the URL is for a supported video file (.mp4, .m4v, .webm, .ogv, .flv) or stream (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo).
I’ll call for staff attention. Staff will respond here.

Hi there,
This is a bug with the widget.
Our developers already know about it and are working on a fix, but for now the only way to show Youtube videos in the widget area is to use the Youtube shortcode in a text widget instead:
