VideoPress embed for mobile devices

  Videopress embed option does not play in mobile devices such us iPad? it just shows empty space where video should be. however, short code version of the same video works just fine.

  Hi kathrynwp,

  site is http://www.lacofdturnout.com the opening “Welcome” paragaph video. Works fine with desktop but not on mobile device. I have checked it on iphone, ipad, and android phones. It just empty blank space.

  Hi there – the embedding method requires Flash, which unfortunately is not available on most mobile devices.

  We recommend using the shortcode version instead to avoid this issue and apologize for the inconvenience.

  Hi,

  I did try to use the short code however, that didn’t work as well. That way it does not show up at all. Not for Desktop or mobile device.

  That was the reason I was trying to use embed function.

  Any suggestion?

  I tested the shortcode for that video on a test site and it works fine.

  It doesn’t look like the intro video is contained within either a regular WordPress post or a widget. You might want to double-check with your theme developer that it’s a content area that accepts standard WordPress shortcodes. If it’s not, that would explain why the shortcodes aren’t working in that particular area of your theme.
