How do I disable download but allow embed through VideoPress?

Before contacting you I’ve searched far and wide, and tried many things to solve this issue but have found no answer.

    I purchased the Videopress update.

I want to allow embeds. I do not want to restrict embeds.

However, on Videopress when I enable embeds it ALSO enables DOWNLOADS.

By downloads, I mean full-out quick-time downloads onto your (the public) hard drive that you get to keep and own.

Do you understand, I CANNOT ALLOW DOWNLOADS of the content I want to
publish, but I DO want to enable EMBEDS.

SInce Ive found no way to restrict downloads while enabling embeds I may not be able to use videopress.

This seems like a very basic oversight.

    Is there something Im missing?

Anyway to change the Videopress code to disable downloads?
I have 24 hours to get a refund. Appreciate your help.

Thanks for the feedback. Currently there isn’t a way to enable embeds but disable downloads. I have passed your feedback on to the team.

    Wow. Ok.

    Well thanks for the response.

I can even imagine all the money it is costing WordPress that these simple things have not been addressed.
Im going to have to cancel my 60 dollars a year.

    Multiply that by how many?

  • I apologize for the trouble.

Just to confirm, would you like me to cancel and refund your VideoPress upgrade?
