VideoPress pop up is hindering my blogging experience.
-
As above. I can’t embed any videos by clicking the ’embed video’ icon because of this useless pop up. The only way was to type the code in myself with the tags. The videopress pops up, and after I close it, nothing happens. I don’t get the choice to embed any video. When i click the ’embed for free’ link in the pop up, it directs me to another useless page.
the reason why i’m using wordpress is because it offers a good blogging experience without forcing the users to purchase stuff. if this continues, i’m going back to blogspot for the non-inconvenience.

Hi there,
I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We’ve actually made embedding some videos easier, such as YouTube and Vimeo, by allowing you to simply copy and paste the video URL directly into your blog.
For all other video hosting sites, you can type in the shortcode to embed the video – i.e. [blip.tv example.url.com].
We’re also in the process of updating the Support Documents for these new changes. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we roll out some new changes to the WordPress community.

Hi Evarlese,
I really appreciate the prompt reply. Just to clarify, does it mean that I can just copy and paste the youtube link and it will be embeded? Or do I still have to put the “youtube=” tag?

You can just copy and paste the URL – without the YouTube shortcode ( [youtube example.url.com] ) before it. I hope this helps!

You did more than just helped, you enriched my WordPress experience with your professionalism and kindness. Thank you so much for making WordPress so awesome!
