VideoPress streaming is very slow…
-
I have bought videopress. People have trouble streaming videos on my website. My business is video, so if people can’t stream videos on my website, I would rather use other services such as vimeo plus. Therefore, I would like my money back.
My website is: wovenvideos.com.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the VideoPress upgrade! I did a quick test and it looks like your videos are loading quickly on my side as shown here:
That test was done in Chrome on OS X Mavericks. Can you let me know if you’re experiencing trouble across all browsers or just with a certain combination?
If you’re not happy with the VideoPress upgrade, I’m happy to refund the cost of the Premium bundle. Since you’ve used it to register a domain name, there are two ways we can proceed:
1) I can refund your entire Premium purchase, including your domain XXXXXXX. This will lead to a total refund of $99. Your domain will become unavailable for several weeks; after this period, anyone may purchase the domain name. If you’d like a complete refund, and are okay with the prospect of potentially losing wovenvideos.com, this is the way you’ll want to proceed.
2) If you want to keep your domain, I can refund your Premium purchase, less the domain registration fee. This will lead to a total refund of $63. You will be able to continue to use your domain name, wovenvideos.com, or you can transfer it to use with another service elsewhere.
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Hi Jeremey:
Thank you very much for your prompt response. I am using Chrome on OS X Maverick myself. The people who have complained about streaming videos are using Firefox on Windows or other browsers.
Let me do more research and get back to you.
Thanks again.

Hi Sabereh,
Yes, I’d love to get some more information on the specific setup these users are using. I just tested your videos in Firefox (still on Mavericks) and the videos are playing fine there as well. If you let me know the specific combinations, I can do some more testing!

Hi Jeremey:
The people who have complained about streaming, I learned later that they are actually using Windows XP. I know that it is a very old operating system, but it sounds like their system works very well with youtube and vimeo. I wonder if videopress could be improved on those operating systems.

Hi Sabereh,
I tested this in BrowserStack using Windows XP. The video loaded instantly although the streaming was a bit jerky (as a result of pinging through a BrowserStack server):
When running Windows XP and Chrome version 34, your viewers shouldn’t be having an issue. I realize you’re doing quite a bit of communicating, but I’m just trying to target the issue. Can you ask if this issue is reproducible amongst multiple browsers and machines? I’m wondering if this is related to internet connections.
