VideoPress thumbnails inconsistent
-
I’ve put up about 30 clips on VideoPress and I’m going into each and patiently setting my thumbnails. About two-thirds of them, however, don’t “take.” I’m doing the same thing every time (playing down the clip, clicking “Capture Thumbnail,” waiting for the OK prompt, clicking the Update Media button), but when I put it into a post, the results are more-often-than-not unsatisfactory.
Has anybody else noticed this inconsistency? What can I do differently.
BTW, all of my clips are similar: SD video, between 20 and 150mb. And all of the clips have been up for hours before I’ve tried to make the thumbnails, so I know all the video has been processed.

Hello,
We cache the video thumbnails when they are created, either by you when you select them or automatically when the video is viewed. Because of this, changes to the video thumbnail (and the displayed title of the video in the player) can take a short while to take effect.

I have been having a problem with VideoPress thumbnails for months.
At first they showed up normally. Then they disappeared but I could find their url by right clicking. Now they are totally gone. When I inspect the page resources, they are blank, as if nothing was uploaded.Support has acknowledged this as a problem for as long but NOTHING has been done, no update, and no public statement from WP that this is an issue.
At $60 a year it’s a serious issue.
How about a hint as to what’s going on?
