  Hi, ive done a video which has gone on successfully onto my site but one side seems bigger than the other. I’m going to attempt to show you here.

  I dont know if its the way i made it or what it is can anyone help?

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of the video at https://sharonharveywriter.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?item=6940?

  It appears that’s how the file was uploaded, as I see the same thing if I download the file and play it directly on my computer.

  Or is that black strip not present in the original file on your device?

  Yeah i am beginning to think that. I did it on my iPad with the screen recording icon – first time of using it, so had to tweak a lot of things.

  I did wonder if it would be ‘bigger’ without the black side bit on the left and not on the right if I attempted by a laptop?

  Just looks ‘lobsided’ and incorrect the way it is dont you think?

  It does look strange :)

  You could probably just crop that video to cut out that section. You can do this with iMovie on a Mac, but I’m not sure if iOS have built-in tools for this. If not I’m sure you’ll be able to find an app that can do it, though.

  Yes, i will look online….I’m trying via the windows laptop to see if that makes a difference…

  Would you theme make it look smaller or is it how its been made?

  Themes do have some control over how content is displayed, but it’s also up to the viewing device how it’s rendered.

  Ok thank you, i can manage it on the iPad but cant work it out on a windows laptop….unsure of how to make clips of certain scenes….i tried steps recorder but unfortunately i think that does exactly what it says – scenes step by step.
