Videos don't show on home page

  Hi there,

  The videos that i post aren’t showing up on the home page. You can see the title and thats it. They only show up when you select “continue reading” and go into the post to see it.

  I would like them to show on the homepage as you scroll down the posts.

  How can i fix this?

  On the main posts page, Sight displays excerpts only. Auto-excerpts are plain text, no code at all (so no formatting, no links, no images or videos etc). If you create custom excerpts you can use HTML and inline CSS, but (as you’ve found out) shortcodes don’t work. If this is important to you, you need a different theme.

  The theme your using prevents this from being accomplished because its trying to give the view a sample of the post requiring them to be transferred to the post page were they can see the video. Basically, the video wouldn’t fit in the space allotted by the theme developers. My suggestion is to change the theme or write an intro paragraph then embed the video.
