videos nestled in the VIDEOS tab/page

I’ve read the FAQ on Pages and on Videos but still cannot figure out the answer to my question.
My theme is “DePo.”
I want to have a tab (below the headling) that is a Parent Page titled VIDEOS. Then I want to place videos nestled under that VIDEOS Parent Page. I want to arrange the videos in numerical order because that seems the easist for me.
How do I do this? I have been experimenting for more than an hour but cannot get it to look right. I finally deleted the videos that I want to nestle under VIDEOS.
What should I be doing?

Or are you asking about how to make child pages with your videos. I don’t understand

Dear diamondfistwerny: The instructions for that other video questions were for a different concept. That other concept was for random videos of mine.
However, this is a new video challenge. I have various CATEGORIES that I want to slowly add videos to, as children nestled umder parent. Example: RELIGION (several videos on different religions), HISTORY (several history videos. MILITARY (several videos on military).
But I want all of these videos nestled under ONE PARENT TAB titled VIDEOS. Can you help me with this slightly different concept?

LOL It’s just that I’m not clear if you want a bunch of sub-pages under the parent or if you’re saying that you want videos to be immediately clicked on from a sub directory from the main parent? If it’s the first part (sub pages), then you’d designate them through the drop down choice while creating a page. If it’s the latter, I have no clue how one could do that. Don’t believe one can. But wait around a few. Have a feeling someone will jump in with an answer!!! :)

I really do appreciate the entire WordPress experience. The help is fantastic, the software is so easy to use, and I am happy! (But I would like to figure out this video organization issue. :-) )

So, let us say that I want to do it as you said above. Would I be correct in thinking that it would be done this way:
Step 1: I make a Page titled VIDEOS.
Step 2: I prepare Child Pages. Religion page. History page. Military page. Dogs page. I arrange them in numerical order or…… how?Step 3: I let that one Parent tab sit at the top in my DePo theme blog. As I get the videos, I download them from YouTube (or wherever) and I insert them into the corresponding page. A Military video goes on the Military page.
And, in order to make each page look good, I can refer back to the other system of putting videos on a page (the way that you earlier described for my other video request).

One can do that if that’s what one wants to do :) I’m taking that you understand how to do it, then? By creating your Page of “Videos” and then all other sub pages (Religion, etc.) would be created by selecting Videos (from the drop down menu on the module called attributes) as the parent page and titling the sub page with Religion, etc.

DePo doesn’t display child pages within the parent page itself, so you’ll probably have to find other ways – like table code that will give you three columns of videos in a page, or having videos published as appropriately categorized posts and turning the category page into a header tab, or having videos published in excluded pages and linking to them…

Well dear people, I solved the task by making ONE VIDEO PAGE and entering all of my categories. You can see them here under the DePo header.

Oh— so you aren’t puzzled: The Constitution video and the Christmas video are outside of the Video tab because I wanted them to show at first glance. -Lorna
