Videos used to post in blog?!

  I am trying to embed a video into my blog so that it can be watched directly on the page. I used to be able to do this. Now it is only a link to the youtube page, which is not as cool. I like having the videos displayed right there in the page. what is different? how can i get it back the other way? does this require an upgrade? hope not.

  Make sure the YouTube link is not hyperlinked. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#troubleshooting
  I use the youtube shortcode and it works every time.
