Videos without advfertisments

I tried linking video into a post from my Youtube but when it plays it also plays a lot of obnoxious advertising.
How can I add video to a post without any advertising?
Any help appreciated – Thanks

If the video has advertising from YouTube, there’s no way to overwrite that. This is a setting on the YouTube poster’s end, so you’d have to contact them about it.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks shawna, Since I posted I discovered VideoPress, but I ca’t seem to upload videos from my computer with VideoPress.
Any tips on that?
Thanks

Can you make sure your file is one of the supported file types listed here:
VideoPress supports MP4 (.mp4, .m4v), QuickTime movies (.mov), Windows Media Video (.wmv), Audio Video Interleave (.avi), MPEG (.mpg), Ogg (.ogv), 3GPP (.3gp) and 3GPP2 (.3g2).
And make sure that’s its smaller than 1GB in size?
When it fails, are you seeing an error message? or does it upload forever?

Thanks again shawna,
Size of video is 40 MB, and the file type is identified as AVCHD. When I try to upload it it says “file not found”
I assume the file type is not right, but don’t know how I could convert it to an acceptable type.

Ah, yes we don’t support that type of file. You can probably convert it to a different file type in whatever video editing software you used to make it. Usually this is an option under an Export menu.

Thanks shawna, I suspected as much. I’ll see if I can re-designate the file type and import it that way.
Thanks

Sounds good. Let me know if you still have trouble after you export to one of our supported file types. :)
