My website is http://utahculturalalliance.wordpress.com/. I am sure this is an easy solution but I have been searching the support forums for hours with no solution. I just want to be able to see a list of all of my posts somewhere. I have the most recent 10 showing in a widget to the right of all pages, but when I click on “events blog” I want to be able to see all of them somehow. I also want just excerpts of posts or even just the blog title to show on the posts page. I have the option selected in settings for excerpts, but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

    Thank you,
    Crystal

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    HI Crystal,

After looking into your account, I found that you set your Posts page as the Events Blog page. So, you can view all your posts here:

    http://utahculturalalliance.wordpress.com/events-blog/

They are all there. If you just want to show an excerpt of the blog post, you can insert a More Tag where you see fit for each post. This will only show up to the part where you add the More Tag, and place the link “Read the rest of this entry »” after. You can customize the message if you like. Please view the link above for more information.

I see that you did select Summary on “For each article in a feed, show” in your Settings > Reading page. Please note that is for people who follow your blog. When they receive emails about your published posts, they will receive a summary of the post with a link to your blog instead of the full post in their emails.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you for the response. I just want a list of the titles only, rather than seeing all of the content of each post on http://utahculturalalliance.wordpress.com/events-blog/. Is there a way to do that automatically? Or is there a calendar which will show all the posts from each day at least?

    Hi there,

Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to do that on your Posts page automatically, but you can just put the More Tag at the beginning of each post. This will just show the Post title and then a link to the rest of the post! It will look something like this:

    Cheers!

That’s going to be very time consuming. It would be great if wordpress.com could add that feature at some point! My current blog at blogger.com does that, hence I may decide to just keep the blog portion of our website there as a result.

Thanks for all the responses! Crystal

    Hi Crystal,

I completely understand. Certain themes allow you to automatically just show the excerpt but that is not a part of the Eventbrite-Multi theme. If you want to change themes, please let me know and I can help you find one that does!

    Cheers!
