View count per blogpost
-
Hi!
I added the widget to get a view count but it shows is the total number of views since I started the blog. Is it possible to get a view count visible for everyone for each blogpost for example at the bottom like the number of facebook shares that is visible to everyone?
thanks!
louThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The way your blog is displaying is normal and cannot be changed. Unless or until a visitor clicks the post title or the comment link those totals are not going to display on the sharing buttons. http://afroginthefjord.com/2014/04/22/how-to-become-fluent-in-norwegian-or-die-trying/

P.S. It takes all kinds to comprise the blogosphere so meet an eccentric. :)
When I see a large count on any sharing widget I don’t share the post. If I notice a large count before I even read the post I click out without reading it. Why should I share a post that has already been shared hundreds of times? The internet is full of recirculating mediocre but “popular” articles that get shared over and over again. I think that’s too bad they don’t have a shelf life and get the boot because over-shared articles are like spam.
That’s not my only eccentricity either. lol :D
I have blogged for over 9 years, 8 of them here at WordPress.com and when I see a follow my blog widget advertising how many followers one has I know the display is motivated by one of two things (1) begging or (21) bragging. FAIL.
