Viewer / Follower?

  What is the difference between a follower and viewer? How can I get a notification to my friends to let them know each time I post on my private blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  A view is counted when a visitor loads or reloads a page. The visitor is a viewer of your site.
  When someone follows your site, each time you publish new content on your blog they receive an update in their Reader, via email, or both depending on their settings. The person who is following your site counts as a follower.

  You can send them a notification automatically if it’s a private blog.

  Ok, now that I know all the people I sent an invitation to follow my private blog a few months ago…are not able to do it unless they sign up for a WordPress account.
  So, I get that the ppl who chose to follow me will get notifications automatically. However, what about the ppl who just viewed my blog once? How do they find out I’ve posted more blog pages?
