Viewing a private blog without having a wordpress account

  Can I give access to a private blog to a colleague who does not have a wordpress account? Could I send that person the URL and a password?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The way that Privacy works is that the site owner/you invite someone to be a viewer and they have to create a WordPressdotcom account in order to log in and view the Private site.

  There is no other way to view a site that has been marked Private by its owner.
