viewing all posts from day one
-
Hi,
Is there a limit to how many posts a viewer can see at one time, or scroll to, without having to use the archive function or going back to “home” to see them all from day one?

Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you mean how many posts can be viewed per page on your blog, this can be adjusted by clicking Settings > Reading on the left side of your dashboard. In the box next to “Blog pages show at most” you can adjust how many posts show up on each page.

The “number of post per page” setting at settings > reading I’m sure has a limit, but I don’t know what that is.
The thing to keep in mind though is that if you set it to display say 100 posts per page, you risk running into network (internet) and server timeout issues which will irritate your visitors considerably and result in your blog pages not loading completely. This is 1000 times more true if you have images in your posts, as you do. A good number of people on the internet are still on dialup or slower DSL connections, and for those people, a long wait for the page to completely load will drive them away.
You might check out the new archive shortcode, which will allow you to show a complete listing of your posts (from newest to oldest) on a page (just the titles will show). http://support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/
