Viewing comments from the Dashboard

Hi,
Currently, one can see excerpts of the latest comments on the Dashboard, but although there’s a Reply function there, having only an excerpt is not enough to Reply from, and there is no way from the Dashboard to go directly to the full comment in order to evaluate/answer it. The Dashboard link to the post the comment is attached to instead goes to the Edit function for that post, which is completely illogical. The link to the post should go to the actual post, so the comment can be seen in its entirety and in context.
Thanks,

There is 2 ways to see the full comments click the “View All” button on the comment panel at the bottom or click comments on the left navigation bar. here is a screen shot to refer too. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5559/commentbuttonr.png

If you click on the # at the end of the comment, that links directly to the comment on the page.

t3ck: Using the View All does show the full comment: good. But it does not show the comment in context. That’s why I want to get to the article page. Inexplicably, even under View All the article link takes me to its edit page, a function which has nothing to do with dealing with comments. I understand that Dashboard thinking is to remain “under the hood”, so to speak, but it this case seeing the finished product would be more helpful.
raincoaster: yes, that’s exactly what I wanted to do. Never would I have thought to click on the #. Thanks.

onfollowingchrist,
That was my fault I skimmed the thread really quick and didn’t see that you wanted to see the comment from the blog view.
