Viewing Layout Grid Posts on Cell Phones
-
How easy is it when you are using a cell phone or mobile to view blog posts made with:
1. Layout Grid block?
2. Wide width block?I like using Layout Grid blocks and wide width blocks for my photo blog posts but I am getting almost no likes on those posts. I don’t have a cell phone so I can’t try it out myself.
This post uses both Layout Grid and Wide width https://naturallyurbanpicshobbycorner.wordpress.com/2021/12/03/photography-road-trip-to-elora-jan-19-2010/

You have to scroll down a ways to see the part made with Layout Grid blocks.
The wide width part is at the top.

Hi there,
You can see how your site looks on mobile directly in the editor, or in the Customizer.
If you edit that post at My Site ->Posts, click the Preview option at the top, and there you’ll see options to view the post at tablet or mobile widths. Or if you go to Appearance ->Customize, you can switch between desktop, tablet and mobile previews using the icons at the bottom of the Customizer sidebar to view your full site at different screen sizes.
You can also use the developer tools built into your browser to see a mobile view of your site – this has the added benefit of letting you view your site on specific devices you can specify. But I’m just mentioning that for interest’s sake – the editor and Customizer previews should be more than sufficient for your needs :)
When you preview your post using any of these tools, you’ll see that your wider sections where the images are arranged side by side automatically get rearranged on mobile to show the images below each other instead. If you had multiple columns of text, those would also get rearranged into a single column on smaller screens.
I hope that answers your question, but let me know if it doesn’t :)

Yes, that answers my question. I had imagined I was asking a silly question. This is so helpful. Just now I viewed my one post with the mobile option and I see how I can improve my side-by-side displays for better viewing by mobile and it won’t make any difference for desktop viewers. Thanks again!
