Viewing my blog off line
-
Hi all,
Is there a way I can make my blog viewable and navigable off line locally on a loaptop? I am going to an exhibition on the weekend and there is no Wifi, I want to have my blog running on my laptop for people to look through, some of the people at the exhibition are not online at home etc.
Blog address http://www.jamestrainparts.wordpress.com
Thanks,
James

Hi James,
the easiest way to do this is to create an offline copy. Here are some articles to get you started:

Note that usually you won’t get a perfect copy (your videos will probably won’t get copied, etc), but the texts and images should be available fully.

You can download software from WordPress.ORG, get it running on your laptop, Import the contents of your blog to that, and then tweak the look so it looks like your blog. Otherwise, I would just recommend using a rocket stick, a portable wifi antenna that connects your laptop to a cellphone network.

Err, nevermind about this link: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/read-website-offline/ It doesn’t seem to talk about copying an entire website.
I personally have used HTTrack, so I can confirm that it works.
