Viewing portfolio without having a link
-
I created the first portfolio project by following the instructions: My site -> Portfolio → Add New Project and added the [portfolio] shortcode block in it. However my project is nowhere to be found on my website, I can only go to My site -> Portfolio and select it from the list. Which step did I skip?

There are three pages on my website: Home, Blog posts, and Contact.
Isn’t there supposed to be a Portfolio page as well? -
Hi there!
You’ll probably want to create a portfolio page (that’s where you’ll add the [portfolio] shortcode, not to the project itself) and then add that page to the menu.
So, the first step would be creating a new page, you can name it Portfolio. Then, add the shortcode to that page. This page will now display all your portfolio projects. The last step will be adding that page to the menu:

Thank you for your answer, it works now! Looks like I was misled by this part that I’m still not exactly sure what it refers to:
” Since portfolios are displayed automatically at the address http://yourgroovysite.wordpress.com/portfolio/ it’s important that you don’t create any pages, categories, or tags called “portfolio,” otherwise your projects may not display as intended.”

If you create a page named
portfolioit will conflict with the existing portfolio page and the latter won’t be displayed correctly.
