viewing stats for a private blog

I recently started a private blog and invited a few friends to view it. However, no stats have showed up on my dashboard (for my page views or friends’ page views). Is it possible to have stats for private blogs?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For which site is this? I don’t see any viewers on the site, http://draughtsofsunshine.wordpress.com/, nor do I see any content on it.

That is a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software. It is not on our servers and does not make use of WordPress.com stats.
If you are using a plugin to add statistics to your site, you’ll need to contact the developer of that plugin for help. I you are using Jetpack you need to connect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account and activate the stats module before Jetpack can start collecting stats for your site.
But on a private self-hosted site stats might not work at all. I’m afraid I don’t know enough about self-hosted WordPress to tell you for certain. I suggest you ask in the self-hosted forums instead:
