I have noticed over the last month that the view count doesn’t seem to be accurate. I’ve had comments from subscribers, who have read new posts (and my new post emails to subscribers do not contain the entire post), that don’t show up in the view count.
I have a particular Australian subscriber, who normally makes the first comment after a new post. I’ve noticed that when she comments, in the middle of the night, that there’s often no view count at all, even though she’s clearly read the whole new post. -
Stats are not exact, mostly due to the prevalence and popularity of ad/tracker blockers (which some major browsers now have built-in), so we will not be able to track all visitors at all times.

Until recently, they seemed to be a lot more accurate.
When I first noticed this, a month ago, I thought it was a WP glitch (due to constant WP tinkering), that would be fixed. As it seems to be persistent, I posted the above comment, having noticed the same several times on the same day (yesterday).
Something is wrong! -
We aren’t seeing anything outright wrong in your stats, the most likely anyswer in this case is the increasing prevalence and popularity of ad/tracker blockers (which some major browsers now have built-in).

That’s very disconcerting. Blogging is in serious decline, so seeing, or rather not seeing view stats for 3 people who made comments yesterday is quite disheartening.
This is very bad for blogging and WP.
