Hey claytoninhanoi,
There are two units to measure the traffic on WordPress.com. Views and Visitors, a view is when someone loads of reloads any post, a page of your website and a visitor is when it’s a new browser for the first time in a (Day, Week, Month).
Please read more here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#views-and-visitors

Hi,
I understand the difference for that. Let me give some context.I have the WordPress site. I have a homepage which has an introduction and then another called ‘Posts’. I have just written a post. My very first one.
I sent the the link to all my friends, colleagues etc.
However, views and visitors are only showing up on the homepage. Not the actual page of the post.
Regards,

WordPress.com has a very good website monitoring process and at the end of the day/week/month, the whole data is gathered to show the perfect stats.
It’s a new website so please wait for a while to see the exact stats. You send the links to your friends and family, you can’t see the stats within a few minutes of hours.
You will have the full data at the end of the day.
Please check it for a few days and then you will understand it perfectly.
