views on my blog for July 28 do not show

  Dear Sir/Madam,

  I’m a fairly new a logger and got about 12 comments yesterday on a post. so that was fun, but my dashboard does not show any views for the day – it did not show views throughout the day yesterday and not even today for yesterday. Can this be fixed somehow as I would really like to see how many people visited my blog yesterday, July.28.2011.

  Actually, your views are correct. The comments that you receive on that day are spam comments. They’re barely relevant (if at all) and are designed to drive traffic to the commenter’s link.

  Spam comments are left by bots which don’t generate views.

  Perhaps half or more of the comments are left by bots, but a lot of them seem to be left by humans since they are quite relevant.
