Views On Private Blogs
-
I*ve been getting views on my blogs on those days when they are supposed to be private and not accessible.
Nobody else has access to those blogs and they are not my views, they come from different countries and during the time I wasn’t there.
They are on different posts and come from the reader, different countries. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks. Please be patient while waiting.
Just in case, for you the question that needs to be answered is: Who, aside from me, has access to my login information?
You can go to your email program immediately and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.
Read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/
You can also change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
You can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/You can also use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
Use two step authentication is also available to you http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/
You may want to run a security scan on your computer. See here to run a security scan http://geekflare.com/online-scan-website-security-vulnerabilities/
Never leave your computer logged into your blog and walk away from it. Always log out properly.

Hi @aditix, when you make your site private, we count logged-in views, including your own. This may help:

Ah, my apologies, I missed the rest about out of country views.
I noticed you have switched back and forth between Private and Public a few times recently. Can you leave it on Private for a while so we can see whether you collect any more out-of-country views?
Also can you let us know what was going on with the switching back and forth?
Lastly, can you make sure your login is secure?
-
My login is secure. The two blogs I am talking about are mostly private. When I make them public, it’s only for a few hours and then they are back to private for several days. They have been private for the past 4-5 days and yet I am getting views on them, which are not mine daily from the reader.
I can keep them quite private for another week or so, so that you can look into it.
Apart from that I hope it’s OK to switch between public and private and that it shouldn’t affect the visibility when the blog is supposed to be private. For personal reasons such switching is what suits me best at the moment. -
@aditix it’s totally fine to switch back and forth from Public to Private. I’m was hoping you would share the reason you’re doing it so I can try to sort out why this is happening.
-
Hi Supernovia. I am sorry, if it was possible to communicate with you privately, I could be more open, but because this is a public forum I can only say that it is for personal reasons.
I am sure that you can still see the views from other countries on those blogs during the time they have been private and I hope you can look into this. Even more views have been registered by my flag counter, while others by WordPress.

Given that it’s been public and private for hours at a time sometimes, it could just be a time zone thing. You don’t have any out of the country visits today. Let’s see what happens when you leave it private for a full week.
