Views per post and stats

  • Unknown's avatar

    1) Is there a way to know the number of views per post, for every post I made, from the beginning of time? I want to have a rank list for the top 10 of my posts.

    2) Almost everyday I get at least 1 view for a certain post I made some time ago. When I visit my stats page, I see no referrers and no search engine terms and btw it is not me (I am already logged in, so my views don’t count). So it seems like if someone is accessing directly this certain post, almost everyday for months! Can this be true???

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    1) Is there a way to know the number of views per post, for every post I made, from the beginning of time? I want to have a rank list for the top 10 of my posts.

You can see the number of views per post on your My Stats page, in the “Top Posts & Pages” section. The main stats page will show today’s views, but you can click on the “Summaries” link in that section to view stats from previous days. If you click the “All time” link on the summaries page, it will show all the views per post going back to the start of your blog.

    2) Almost everyday I get at least 1 view for a certain post I made some time ago. When I visit my stats page, I see no referrers and no search engine terms and btw it is not me (I am already logged in, so my views don’t count). That’s entirely possible. One possibility is that someone bookmarked that post and is going back to it on a regular basis to read it. Another possibility is that people are searching for it, but the search engine isn’t telling us what search engine terms that the visitors used to get there. For example, Google doesn’t tell us all of the search terms used to visit WordPress.com blogs — you can learn more about that here: Stats

Hi and thanks for your answer!
    For #1, thanks a lot!
For #2, the issue is that I don’t have an “Unknown search terms” comment as I have when an encrypted search term is used. I have “No referrers.” and below “No search terms.”!!!
