Views Strangeness

Hello there,
I have what seems to be an issue. Basically my stats page is saying that so far today my page has had 26 views 22 of which have been referred from my Facebook page. However my FB page is saying that the link I posted has only reached 19 people and nobody has engaged with the link. One of these has to be wrong, can WordPress please make sure it’s not them. Obviously if it’s a true figure that’s great, but if it’s not I would rather know the truth.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not so sure either is wrong. I think there might be another explanation as to why a discrepancy exists between the two tools.
The Facebook referrals in the referrers section on the stats page would refer to any and all traffic that was referred from anywhere on Facebook, not just your specific Facebook page.
Did you by chance share your post on your personal Facebook page? Did a friend share the link? Also, is it possible that someone you don’t know shared your post on their Facebook? All of that traffic would also be shown as referred from Facebook, so the discrepancy may not be wrong.

Hello, thanks for responding! Well I shared it on page I made on Facebook specifically for my blog, and the insights on the post still indicate that nobody has actually engaged with the post there. All I can think of is that possibly someone has accessed my blog through conventional means and then placed a link to the article on their own personal fb? But my following is still small and made up of friends, so I find it hard to believe that one of them might share my article but not tag me in any related post. Maybe @modlook can help solve the mystery?

The stats are correct. That’s how many people came to your site by clicking the link in Facebook.
I agree with sstabrizi that the link has likely been shared somewhere else if that engagement isn’t coming from your Facebook page. And in fact, if I run you most recent post through Facebook’s debugger, it shows that the URL has been shared/liked at least twice already.
