Views: Why do my stat views not match my notification views in my archives?

    When I hit the ‘star’ button for views and comments as well as archives, why does the number of views not match to the number on my listings for views on post on the list? The Archives always shows more views while the list is always so much less.

    Hi there,

    The number of views versus the number of visits in your blog’s statistics (and indeed in your Notification Archive) is going to be different because they are counting different things and are using different mechanisms to do so.

    Your notification archive is primarily counting the number of people who are commenting on your posts and in some cases will notify you if you receive a particularly large surge in stats.
