Vigilance is retired – Will it be replaced by a new theme?

Hi. I noticed that Vigilance is now retired (it may have been so for quite some time though).
http://theme.wordpress.com/retired/vigilance/Any plans on replacing it with a newer theme? Will it be an optional move or mandatory (like Cutline to Coraline, or Pressrow to Pilcrow)?

Hello there,
I miss seeing you here.Note the recommendation is to choose a different theme as themes are retired because they can no longer support the majority of new WordPress features. I searched and located these responses from Staff with regard to retired themes like Vigilance.

Good advice :-) I’m considering Able. I can customize it so that it looks relatively close to Vigilance.
But I was hoping to hear from staff to see if Vigilance will give way to a newer theme. (As it was the case before.)
Off-topic: it’s true, I don’t come too often to the English forums anymore. My life is pretty hectic. I barely have time for the French and Spanish forums now. Have a nice day!

Hi Sergio, I consulted with theme staff and they told me that there are no current plans to replace Vigilance, although that could always change in the future. For now, they do second Able as a good alternative.
