Vigilance Skip To Content Issue

Hello, I am Captain Chilli Pepper… It’s my first time using these forums, which I thought I would never use… but I got an issue.
I just realized Vigilance got a huge update.
I really liked the old Vigilance theme because I made tons of CSS designs for it. I make a new one each week.
The only thing I like is how WordPress changed the “Add Comment” option to the bottom of my posts! I was never able to do that myself!
Sadly, this update is screwing up my CSS! Great… Just My Luck!
It is not that major, so I was wondering how in the world do I get that “Skip to Content” button off the top of my site!
It messes up the top of my CSS! Also, how do I get rid of those “left/right black parallel lines” that were added to the sides of my “Alert Message Box?”
I never had them there before.Unfortunately, when WordPress moved my “Add Comment” option to the bottom of my posts, it messed up my “By Author” and “Tags:” alignment at the top of all of my posts. How do I fix that?
I looked through my CSS code and tried numerous codings to try and fix these things, but they are not working.
If it is just not possible to take any of these things away with any codings, should I just change my WordPress Theme/CSS all together? I really hope not! I love Vigilance!

Aha! I am planning on contacting staff soon. Wow, I am blushing, Timethief replied to my thread. I am a huge fan with a small crush. I read your site all the time. Thanks for your help. Um, what’s with the robot-mod switching this to the CSS forum? What’s up with that?

Hmm… once I think about it more, it probably is, but at the time I was not thinking that way. I’m just a young person with a lot of things on my mind. By the way, Raincoaster, you do have an excellent blog.

Haha… I was not intending to offend you. Your help here is very much appreciated. I’m sorry! That did not come out right. As you can see, I am a young, silly guy saying silly things.

To get rid of the “skip to content add this:
.skip-content{display: none;}To fix the tags, add this to your “.tags” selector:
clear: right; -
