Vigilance theme – Alert Box Images Disappear
-
Here at wordpress.com I use the Vigilance theme as adapted to run on wordpress.com software. I also use the Vigilance theme on my self hosted domain. Up until yesterday I could display a thumbnail sized image in the Alert Box on both blogs.
Today the image in the Vigilance Alert Box on my wordpress.com blog disappears. I want to know why that is and I also want to request that this function be activated again by Staff.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I too, used the alert box for several html functions, and today they are all displayed as code.
My guess is that they realized they were allowing you to use all html tags in the box, which they dont allow in posts/widgets, and are correcting their “mistake”.
I wish this wasnt so, as it granted me a lot of creative freedom for my site.

I just tried links in the alert box on my test blog using Vigilance, and I see the same problem so this is something that staff will have to work out.
Another indication that this weekend saw a wordpress update here.

I’ve contacted support and left a sample of the problem up on my test blog for them to look at. I’ll post back here when they reply to me.

Links now seem to be working fine and as I was writing this, Anthony emailed me and said they had just submitted a patch for this issue.
I had to go back to vigilance options and resave the page, but now my links are back to normal.
