Vigilence Color Scheme Options Not Working?

Under the vigilence theme options, you can customize a few colors. I enabled this option, but the colors aren’t changing?
Help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m new to wordpress and frustrated to the point of switching back to blogger.

Are you using the hexadecimal color codes? Are you clicking “save changes” after making the changes?
