  Not sure if others found the same issue, but following the support recommendations on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo/
  did not work for embedding a Vimeo. Simply copying and pasting he “iframe” embed code offered by Vimeo on the Text tab of the edit post page however, DID work. Perhaps the Support page above should be corrected to reflect what is now supported?

  And let me clarify one sentence above…

  Simply copying and pasting he “iframe” embed code offered by Vimeo INTO the Text tab of the edit post page however, DID work.

  Could you please send the link of the post or page where you embedded just the Vimeo link?
