Vimeo embed without shortcode?
-
It’s all well and good to simplify things with shortcodes, but forcing Vimeo embeds into shortcode and discarding some of the control you should have if using the embed is not good. How can I use regular Vimeo embeds so I can control the hiding of the portrait, title, and byline? Thanks!

Regular Vimeo embeds use iframes, which we can’t allow for security reasons.
If your concern is width and height, you can control that via the shortcode: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo/#embedding-with-a-shortcode

My main concern isn’t width and height, it’s passing the appropriate codes to hide the portrait, title, and byline overlays.

I understand it’s not currently possible, but could I make it a feature request? I can’t imagine it would be too hard to pass a few more parameters from your backend. If there’s a more appropriate place to ask for a feature, please let me know and I will do it there. Thanks!
