Vimeo link failed

When people click on my teaser link inside my film website this comes up: [affiliate link to vimeo]
Links to Facebook and IMDb works fine. And when I am logged in myself, the vimeo link works and is also presented among the 3 links I have connected to the site. Didn’t know this problem until a friend told me. Don’t know what to do.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The “Teaser” menu item on the site https://hashtagwillthemovie.wordpress.com/ is linked to the Vimeo page https://vimeo.com/216215723, which contains a video titled “#will – Teaser.” You can see that it’s linked to that page by hovering over the menu item. I don’t know what might have caused the error you describe, but I’ve not encountered it. Has it been reported by more than one visitor? Do you know what browser/device combination your friend was using when that error was encountered?

Thank you musicdoc1 for your fast reply. So you didn’t have the same problem? I had it, both from my macbook pro, Firefox and from my work station mac, Safari. I’m a member of vimeo (from both computers) and I deleted the cookies linked to vimeo, but that didn’t help. Can’t understand. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for that additional information. I’ll call for staff attention. Staff might be able to explain the results you’re obtaining. The response from staff will be here.

Also since the source for the site includes the proper link, and since two of us here are seeing the proper link, my best guess is that there’s something going on with your Vimeo account that’s turning your link into an affiliate link. Can you get in touch with them?

Thanks. Mostly Filmfestivals are getting the link. Now it works but it takes a couple of seconds because wordpress is redirecting it to the teaser. Before the problem occurred, the teaser came up immediately so it’s a difference. But what about from you, does it take 2 seconds or immediately?

It takes a while for the teaser page to load on my device, probably because my internet service isn’t super fast, but there’s no redirect.

Vimeo is not the problem, it’s WordPress.com. There is a skim link connected to this (js), probably mostly in foreign countries for monetization analytics. WordPress should be aware of this.

Ahhh okay, if it’s a skimlink that would make sense. Free sites can display ads and it would make sense for Vimeo to want to promote in some cases. Ads help pay for our servers and support and what not.
It does end up at the correct URL, right?
Also have you thought about just embedding the teaser on your site instead? You would literally just paste a link to the video.
