Virus alert

  A friend told me a virus alert popped up when she was opening my blog. ‘papamiguel.wordpress.com’. Has anyone else run into this? How can I know I am not sending out viruses?

  Hi there,

  This is most likely caused by a hidden browser extension in your friend’s browser. Malicious browser add ons and toolbars are often installed along with free software without you knowing it, and can lead to virus warnings or pop-ups appearing on sites you visit. Many of those are simply annoying, but many are actually malicious and can infect your computer with more malware or take you phishing sites when clicked.

  I’d advise your friend install a good malware scanning program like Malwarebytes and make sure they don’t have any malware on their computer.
