Virus in ad crashes site (insecure connection)?
-
Hi,
May you check my site, https://tofieldwritegroup.wordpress.com/?
There is a new ad column appearing left of my content which seems to crash the site. I get the following insecure connection error not from my site but from an unfamiliar URL.
The connection to bqcxaguerqx.exdrb.today was interrupted while the page was loading.
- The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
- Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
An Avast popup warns that bqcxaguerqx.exdrb.today may be a virus, worm or blacklisted URL: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=222253.0.
I think an ad for a Michael Hill Engagement Ring is consistently promoted when this breach occurs.
I have no other problems on any other sites and Malware Bytes and Avast find no problems on my laptop. I use Firefox and Chrome.
Thank you,

Hi –
Please tell me more about the set up in use when you’re having this issue.
– type of device
– operating system
– browser type and version
– isolated to one browser?
– screen shot of ads causing the issue or detailed descriptionWhen I go to your site, I see ads, as all free sites have (this isn’t new). They are in the bottom right hand corner beneath your widgets and tucked away. They are not causing any interference with the content or appearance of the site from my end. This is why we need more information to try and trouble shoot your experience.
