Visibility of an entire blog

  I currently have two blogs…can I delete one – or just make it ‘invisible’ as I do not wish to continue it at the present time?

  You can make the one blog private so it’s no longer visible to anyone. Go to My Sites > Settings > General (or My Sites > WP Admin > Settings > Reading) and tick the box next to “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose”. Then click “Save Changes” at the bottom. More info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  If you’d rather delete your blog, go to Settings > General and click “Delete Site”. Note that this action will make the WordPress.com domain unavailable for at least two years. In other words don’t delete the site if you might want to reuse the name later. More info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
