Visibility of custom menu widget not working

    Hello,

    As the title says, I cannot control the visibility of custom menu widgets. This is occurring across several different blogs with different themes so it is probably something I am doing wrong.

    – I can create multiple, different menus OK
    – I can have a primary menu in the header OK and, using the custom menu widget I can place a different menu in the sidebar OK
    – But, I cannot control the visibility (e.g. only show custom menu on certain pages)

    I click the visibility option, select SHOW if PAGE is ….. On the very last drop down box where I am meant to select what PAGE I want, I click the desired PAGE, a little circle spins and then the PAGE selection is cleared. ARGH!

    I have tried this on different browsers, different websites with different themes to no avail. I am planning on switching to a Business plan soon, but am a bit worried as I need this functionality working to manage a large number of sub-pages.

    Hi,

    I will add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar to call for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond. In the meantime, others if have described the issue you’ve encountered have had success by modifying the widget visibility settings at the wp-admin widgets page, rather than at the widget module in Customize.     Thank you for that, I will have a go in the wp-admin page. I just wanted to add that the same thing is happening with the pages widget. The visibility of other widgets that don’t use custom menus I can control.

    UPDATE, thank you – it works fine in wp-admin. I have been searching for days without any luck and didn’t think to look in wp-admin :p

    I’ve reported it here if anyone wants to follow the issue. Do note the wp-admin workaround in the meantime :)
