Visibility on Google

    Hi, I have a free wordpress site which I love. It’s normally the first thing which comes up when people google my name. But occasionally it disappears from Google, as now. I don’t understand why this happens. I’ve had more than 200 views this month, which is more than some month when Google displays it prominently. Please can you help? Thanks!

    Hi,

    WordPress.com has no control over how Google displays your site. I see that the last published post is dated July 31, 2019, other a month ago. Frequency and popularity of posts are just two among many factors that may influence a fluctuating presence in Google search results. Here’s some evidence of your site’s presence at this hour today in Google search results:

    1. In a Google (Firefox) search on your site URL, I find among the top results the site’s homepage and April 2019 post archive page.

    2. A Google images search on your site URL produces a grid of images in which the first several dozen images link to your site.
