visible comments

I would love it if the comments were visible at the bottom of the post. I think many of my viewers are not super computer-saavy and probably don’t understand how to view, let alone leave comments. I have instructions on my blog but I think it would really improve the amount of comments left if everyone could automatically see the comments without clicking the little link at the bottom.

If you get too many comments, that would make your blog virtually impossible to read. I’ve got several posts with over 100 comments. Scrolling past those would be a nuisance.
And any blog-savvy person would see the comments and assume they’d somehow gotten bounced to that particular post instead of the front page.

I have the same situation, as I am new to blogging. I would like to set up a blog designed in a question / answer format for photographers. I would like for readers to be able to contribute answers to posted questions. I do not know how to leave comments and I can not find information on how to do this? Perhaps do you know of a ‘Word Press for Dummies’ book I could read?

Do you have a blog hosted here at WordPress.COM? The site linked in your user name is not hosted here.
As for leaving comments – it is simply a matter of clicking on comments.

The best book on WordPress for Dummies is called WordPress for Dummies. It’s staff-approved.
