visited comments-link not showing on lovebirds theme
-
I just switched to the Lovebirds theme and am loving it. I decided to change the heart-shaped comments link to a circle as per this thread:

Everything looks great until I tested out the comment link (or any random blog post) by clicking on it. Once I do that, the number disappears and only shows up again when I hover the cursor over it.
What code to I use to keep that number visible after the link’s been visited? I tried to play with a comments-link: visited code, and it didn’t work.
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi haydenthorne
This line of custom CSS will fix the problem.
a:visited { color: #FFFFFF; }Select Appearance > Customize > CSS from your Admin Dashboard and enter the custom CSS there.
You need to be on the WordPress.com Premium Plan for custom CSS to save. You can only preview custom CSS on the free plan.

I just tried it, and it works for the comment link, but it’s now affecting regular links in the content. The link disappears against a white background once I visit it, I mean.

Thanks for the help, BTW, and sorry for not saying sooner. I decided to switch themes as I’m still at a loss regarding this issue.
Thanks again!

If you are still wanting to use the Lovebirds theme I am happy to have another look at it for you. I’m sure that some CSS that only targets the comments circle will work.
