I am a “neophyte” newbie, if thats possible, to blogging and working with web tools any more complicated than my IE Browser, so please forgive in advance if this post sounds amateurish
I started my blog http://www.forexreality.wordpress.com exactly 7 days ago………as of this writing I have a total of 269 hits but today alone I’ve had 126 so far, each day my busiest day end up being that day? Are these numbers good, bad or average?
My problem is I want to interact with my readers and I still have NO Comments posted on any of my posts….is this unusual?
Could someone take a look at my blog, forexreality.wordpress.com and tell me what I’m doing wrong, right and how to entice my reader to interact with comments.
Anyone interested in coaching me a liitle until I get up and running……….when I started working there were’nt even FAX Machines!!!!
Thanks in advance

You are probably getting hits from web crawlers or Google queries for people randomly looking for Real estate. It probably has to do with the topic.
I can imagine that Realty people know what you are talking about in your blog. The writing in your blog does not lend itself to casual reading. I lost interest in it about ten seconds onto the page. You do not have photos or visuals and your text colors look like you are getting ready for an X-mas office party with accountants. (Maybe a graph would look good?)
Gray is NOT a good color for a blog unless you are posting color photos or something like text with complimentary or tones/tints of complimentary colors. The green band at the top (Header) does not match any other color on the page. The size and the font are too uniform.
This blog seems to be focused at the Real estate profession. When you hatch a good blog you might want to consider that the person reading your blog knows absolutely nothing about your “Product” …and this gives you a way to explain in more detail about your product. (What’s there to comment on in this blog? You have nice statistical information. However, what does all of it mean? What is it for?)
Hope that helps… Good Luck.

I respectfully need to tell you that the blog has nothing to do with Real Estate or “Realty”. The blog is about The “realities of forex trading”. Its aplace where I post my real-time forex trades and discuss issue relating to forex………..maybe you visited the wrong blog.
Respectfully,
forexreality…..not “realty” -
Hi, I’m new here too. And I just want to say your blog looks great!
Last night as I was studying the pros and cons of using WordPress, I stumbled onto a forum where someone was saying that the people commenting in WordPress forums are rude. Case in point, that person above who answered you!
I really like the looks of your blog, and suggest you just ignore the other person’s remarks altogether.
Oh, one other point. “Reality” and “realty” are two completely different words, and anyone looking for “realty” wouldn’t be landing on your site. Ignore foolish remarks and carry on, you’re doing great!

@pmaillet: artpage1 is an one-day-old member. If you check the replies of experienced members (such as thesacredpath, or justjennifer, or vivianpage – to name just a few), you’ll see that they’re very eager to help and not at all rude. And don’t forget we’re all volunteers here, not employees.

Thanks for the words of encouragement…..like I said before , I just blogging 7 days ago, so I’m gonna make some mistakes.
